TBF (Tref Base Fertilizer) is an improvement over the old PG mix types. Jiffy Products B.V. is a company that thinks along with you as a grower. It also wishes to lead the way in developing new ideas, so that a positive contribution can be made to the growing of your crops.

There are 3 reasons why TBF in potting soil is an advantage over the old PG mix:

1. TBF contains higher levels of trace elements, in particular more Iron, in the form of chelate and also Manganese, Borium and Copper. The great advantage of this is that it is not necessary to add extra Iron chelate to the potting soil. From the start you are sure of having a good level of trace elements and in addition, a part of the Iron is in a slow release form.
2. TBF contains a higher Magnesium content (4%), which is 2x higher as in the 'old' PG mix. Magnesium is an element that is difficult to absorb. So it is better to start with good levels in your potting soil.
3. The TBF formulas are more in line with the current demands for Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potassium content with regard to the basic fertilization of potting soils.

The TBF formulas:

TBF Low N, 6-14-27 is particularly suitable for cultures that demand low Nitrogen contents and when Ammonium is undesirable. This product contains extra Calcium.

TBF Compact Low P, 10-3-31, low phosphate, is very much in line with the wish of many growers to keep the culture more compact with less phosphate.

TBF High N, 17-10-14, the high Nitrogen content stimulates a quick start for the root and shoot development.

TBF Special, 12-14-24, special composition for faster rooting.
