How long do the pots take to decompose after planting?

Jiffy pellets contain a starter nutrient fertilizer in order to keepthe seedlings growing for a few days until liquid nutrients can beadded, as well as a very tiny amount of wetting agent to allow the peatmoss to take up water more readily.

All plants and transplants started in Jiffy Mixes require additionalfertilizer. Jiffy-7 Pellets contain a small starter nutrient chargewhich will be gone by the third watering. Jiffy-Peat Pots contain noadded nutrients or fertilizers.
